Findsuri was launched in 2022 as the result of academic research conducted by its founder, Dima Al-Dera’, at Conestoga College. Recognizing the dire need for a secure, dedicated platform to address the growing number of missing persons caused by war and displacement within Syria and abroad, Findsuri was established to document missing persons and provide a centralized platform for their families. During the February 6 earthquake in Turkey and Syria, Findsuri played a critical role, offering vital support during this devastating humanitarian crisis. Today, Findsuri stands as a global platform addressing the diverse causes of missing persons, expanding its reach and services to ensure every family has a chance to reunite with their loved ones.
