He was arrested from Daraya with his friends on the roof of the building where he and his family live, accused of spying on the military airport near their home in Daraya. He was last seen around the end of 2016 in winter, during a visit from his mother and brother in Sednaya prison. After that, there was no more news about him or where he was transferred. He was arrested by a man named Ahmad Bayyad, Anas Bayyad, and a man named Majd.
