My father sent me an SMS message on 21.3.2012 saying that he was going to Cairo International Airport to travel to one of the Gulf countries "he didn't specify which country exactly" and added that he would call me upon arrival. However, since then we have not heard from him. He was living in Cairo, Jamal Abdel Nasser district or area. There is no exact information about which street or building number, as he was traveling alone and we "the rest of the family" were in Syria. We asked all his acquaintances without result, no one knows anything about him, we filed a missing person report with the Syrian Red Crescent also without result, I was able to reach one of the officers at Cairo Airport after searching, he told me that there is no information about him, neither entry nor exit, although my father was traveling by air using his Syrian passport. The last time I met him was in Lebanon in October 2010, he had indeed come from Egypt to Lebanon by air via the airport and returned after the meeting to Egypt also by air via the airport. My father was a lawyer and an inventor, he has a patent related to chemistry, and on the Zaman Al Wasl website for searching for missing persons I found his name that he was wanted by military security, but after a while his name disappeared from the site as well.
